Privacy and location
How Loveton handles location data and what the distance feature does.
How the distance feature works
The distance feature shows the approximate distance between you and your partner. It is completely optional.
To enable it: go to the Explore tab > Distance section > tap to enable location sharing.
Location is accessed only when the app is in the foreground and you have enabled the feature. We do not track your location in the background.
Location updates occur approximately every 15 minutes while the feature is active and the app is open.
You can disable distance sharing at any time, and your location data will be deleted from our servers.
Location privacy
Your exact coordinates are never shown to your partner - only the approximate distance between you.
Location data is transmitted securely using TLS encryption.
When you disable the feature or delete your account, all stored location data is permanently deleted.
We do not use location data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than computing partner distance.
